    Voters in San Leandro narrowly rejected a school district parcel tax measure on Tuesday that would have doubled an existing $39 parcel tax and extended it for another 14 years, according to preliminary election results. The first round of returns, released 8 p.m. Tuesday, showed that 63.29 percent of registered voters who live within San Leandro Unified School District's boundaries and mailed in ballots, or 4,870 people, supported the 14-year, $78 parcel tax measure, called Measure B. The amount of support, however, was slightly less than the 66.67 percent needed to pass the parcel tax measure.
