Contrary to popular belief the Traveling Jersey is not really locked away in a secret warehouse among other historical relics. It just hangs in my closet.

Tuesday Jun 28 | Gaslamp Ball

I've been living in Anchorage, Alaska since the dreary end of last year's baseball season and just recently got to take in my first Alaska Baseball League game. The league is an "amateur collegiate summer baseball league" that a surprising number of Major League players have participated in, and to my surprise, you can find a tribute to Padres players who have made the jump from playing under the midnight sun to the lights of San Diego.

    Jun 7, 2016 | Gaslamp Ball

Though the Padres are universally linked to draft failure because of a pretty fail-tastic draft record, they actually did really good in 2011. I mean surprisingly good.

  10. 2016 Draft TalkRead the original story w/Photo

    May 20, 2016 | Gaslamp Ball

With the Padres having a ton of top picks and the draft a couple of weeks away I figured I would put a post up to talk about it. Who do you guys think the Padres should be targeting? Who do you not want the team to have? Any news? Supposedly this is a very topsy turvy draft as there's no clear top 5 group and alot of players who could go anywhere after the supposed first round pick goes to Philadelphia.

I'm an Orioles fan, and as much as I'd love to discuss Odrasimer Despaigne and his apparently unreal, yet still uneffective, changeup , I'm actually looking to crowdsource. The fam and I have just booked six days in Pacific Beach to coincide with at least one of the O's/Padres matchups in June, and wanted to know the ins and outs of Petco Park, and San Diego in general.
