    Locally based hospitality property operator Eat.Drink.Sleep plans a March 26 opening for its new restaurant and renovated golf course at Lakehouse Hotel & Resort in San Marcos. Company officials said a $1.75 million revamp of the St. Mark executive golf course included a clubhouse renovation, the addition of new tee boxes, a new putting green, a full-swing golf simulator with a 12-foot screen, and an interactive practice facility.

Operators said the upscale restaurant has a large new rooftop bar, and its menu has been updated as part of a new Pacific Rim and sushi concept led by Executive Chef Brad Wise.

The two entities have formed a collaboration known as Rose Canyon Fisheries, which recently filed paperwork with federal and state agencies to develop what partnership representatives said would be the first open-ocean finfish farm in U.S. federal waters.
