    The following people were booked into the Lee County-Tupelo Adult Jail in connection with felony charges ending Wednesday at 11 a.m. A Hayes Drive Tupelo woman said she was awakened by the sound of gunshots around 3:30 a.m. When she got up, she noticed two bullet holes in her carport door. Deputies found four bullet holes in a BMW parked in the drive and several spent shell casings in the road in front of the house.

    Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi and the Tupelo Police Department are requesting the public's assistance identifying and locating the person responsible for the burglary of a business. Tupelo police responded to Room to Room Furniture at 3651 Cliff Gookin Blvd. on Dec. 9. Someone had cut the chain at the entrance and entered the premises.

    When the top 14 runners at the MHSAA 3A girls state meet, the all-state team, mounted the podium at Choctaw Trails course on Monday for photos, there was plenty of blue. The Lady Tigers took seven of the top nine places to win a state championship for the third straight year and ninth time in 10 years.
