    The lives of hundreds of slaves that lived on the east End of Long Island more than 200 years ago were recognized and honored by the Eastville Community Historical Society and Shelter Island Sylvestor Manor Sunday as part of the area's Black History Month celebrations. Hundreds of black slaves are believed to be busied at the Manor, whose cemetery dates back to the 17th century.
