    The ADK Selects, a youth lacrosse team make up for first and second graders from around the North Country, recently wrapped up a very successful season.     In an effort to reduce the spread of aquatic invasive species from Lake Ontario to inland waters, the St. Lawrence Eastern Lake Ontario Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management has begun implementing a Boat Launch Steward Program. The program places trained stewards at strategic locations along the eastern shore of Lake Ontario - Oswego Harbor, Henderson Harbor, Sackets Harbor and Cape Vincent.

Dairy economists have predicted farmers probably will have to wait nine to 18 months for milk prices to climb out of the rut, according to Jay M. Matteson, Jefferson County agricultural coordinator.
