    The outcome of two primary races in St. Lawrence County have changed now that absentee and affidavit ballots have been counted, according to county Board of Elections Officials. In the three-way race for Colton town supervisor, Kevin Beary edged out John J. Gray Jr. by a vote of 106-103 to appear on the Republican line in the Nov. 7 race.

    New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Environmental Conservation officers have charged Elliot Matthews, 18, of Hermon, with taking a deer with the aid of an artificial light, possession of a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle, discharging a firearm from a public highway and taking deer during the closed season. In addition to the misdemeanors, Mr. Matthews was also charged with hunting without a license, taking deer from a public highway, failure to tag deer and using rim fire ammunition to hunt deer.
