Police in Rohnert Park say 22-year-old Ronnie Paul Threadgill shot a 24-year-old Sacramento woman he was paying for sex at a Motel 6 on July 2. They said he hit a man, later arrested on suspicion of pimping, in the head with a gun as he ran out of the room.

Casey Meyering , 28, of Tulsa, Okla., the operator of WinByState.com, pleaded no contest in May in Napa County Superior Court to one count of extortion, three counts of attempted extortion and one count of conspiracy.
