    Cuyahoga County Executive Armand Budish delivered $1.6 million worth of good news to the City of Rocky River by way of a letter stating the county will pay for 80 percent of a 2019 resurfacing project on Hilliard Boulevard. Bobst said the section to be repaved was awarded the funds after documentation was sent to the county and the county inspected the pavement.

She first listed the city's top priorities: maintain a high level of city services, safety/security/preparedness, thriving and livable neighborhoods, a strong and diverse local economy, infrastructure investment, limiting administrative and programmatic overhead, limiting new debt, and maintain the city's bond rating. She touted the AA2 Moody's bond rating, inclusion in a 50 per cent decrease in unemployment claims in the region, more than 170,000 jobs in the state that are paying more than $50,000, and Ohio being ranked as the seventh most affordable sate.
