    Officers responded to the scene, in the 3400 block of North Wesleyan Boulevard, at about 8:30 p.m on March 21. Donesha Scott, 19, of Raleigh, Robyne St. Claire Barnes, 20, of Conway, Kandis McBride-Jones, 20, of Littleton, and Quedeshia Brown, 20, of Henderson, were killed in the crash. Investigators determined that the Ford Focus occupied by the four students failed to yield to the right of way when it turned left from the northbound lane of North Wesleyan Boulevard.

    Antonio Jermaine Knight, 21, of 513 S. Vyne Street, was located in the parking lot of a Lowe's store and fled on foot as members of the Tar River Regional Task Force approached his vehicle. Authorities said Knight was in possession of 120 bindles of heroin with a street value of $2,400, two grams of marijuana, and $595 in cash.

    The Nash County Sheriff's Office said that, at about 7:15 p.m., Daniel Aaron Edwards, 35, of Strawbrush Road, hit a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Norman Lee Webb and followed him north into Nashville on N.C. Highway 58. Authorities said that, as the vehicles came to a stop, Edwards jumped from his car, ran to Webb's vehicle, pulled the door open and struck Webb in the face. A Nash County sheriff's deputy had to forcibly take Edwards into custody due to his "non-adherence to verbal commands and continued assault," according to a press release.

    The latest charge against Te'von Lamont Mabry, 18, of 523 Washington St., involves the Oct. 20 shooting death of 29-year-old Tavon Dionte Clark in Princeville. Mabry was already in the Nash County jail without bond after being charged Nov. 6 with first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder in the shooting death of 15-year-old Lavontae Brown, a freshman at Rocky Mount High School.

Edgecombe County elections director Jerry Spruell says 362 people are registered to vote in the ward where Joyner and Howell ran.

    Te'von Lamont Mabry, 18, and Michael Antoine Lyons Jr., 19, are each charged with first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder in the death of Lavontae Brown. Authorities found Brown, who had been shot, at about 1 p.m. aty 1604 Pinehaven Dr. He was taken to Nash General Hospital, where he later died.

    The Rocky Mount Telegram reported that 44-year-old Cheryl Denise Johnson of Spring Hope has been charged with 10 felony counts of using forged documents and two counts of obtaining property by false pretenses. Rocky Mount police said Johnson is accused of forging a number of checks from the parent teacher organization at Baskerville Elementary School.

    Officers responding to a report of gunshots in the 500 block of South Pearl Street shortly before midnight found Antonio Bullock, a 35-year-old man who had been shot while riding in a car. Bullock, of Rocky Mount, was pronounced dead at the scene.
