    The Maine Criminal Justice Academy Board has voted to revoke the certification of former Rockport Police Chief Mark Kelley and approved a consent decree with one of the department's officers after a review showed that inaccurate training reports were filed with the state. The discrepancies in the training records were discovered in May during a review of the department prompted by a high-speed chase that resulted in the deaths of two teenagers.

    The woman, whose name was not immediately released, was found outside the house at 29 James St. by firefighters and police officers who arrived about 9 p.m. The woman was able to walk but was assisted by public safety officers before being taken by ambulance to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport. Fire Chief Christopher Whytock said at about 9:30 p.m. firefighters were searching the home to make sure no one else had been inside.

    Rockport police are investigating an incident in which a man was found early Friday morning in Chickawaukie Lake, claiming he had jumped in the water to escape an assault. The Knox County Regional Communications Center received a complaint at 3:52 a.m. about two people yelling and running up the road on Route 17. Officer James Moore arrived at the turnoff on Route 17 for the lake and located a man in the water, according to Rockport Chief Randy Gagne.
