    The driver killed in a head-on collision with a logging truck Tuesday has been identified as Susan Harrill McCaskill of Hamlet. McCaskill, 62, was travelling south on Wiregrass Road near Adetha Lane around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday when she crossed the center line, striking the logging truck, according to a report prepared by Trooper B. Smith.

    A Rockingham man accused of assaulting his pregnant ex-wife has posted a video on YouTube of the aftermath of the incident, along with a series of five videos apparently taken over the previous weeks which show him documenting her whereabouts. William Lewis Wall, 50, of Logan Park and his ex-wife were attempting to complete a custody exchange in the parking lot of the Department of Social Services after its offices had closed on Nov. 30 when Wall allegedly assaulted his ex-wife, who is about six months pregnant, causing her to land on their 5-year-old child.

    The Epicenter Festival coming to Richmond County in May will in fact be held at the Rockingham Dragway, according to the event's producer Danny Wimmer Presents, which on Monday clarified a press release the company sent out Friday morning. The rock-n-roll festival will be held on land owned by the Rockingham Dragway, The Rock Speedway and Entertainment Complex on the other side of U.S. 1, Richmond County and local landowners - all of which will make up what Danny Wimmer Presents is referring to as the "Rockingham Festival Grounds."

    The co-creators of the Carolina Rebellion music festival have announced a new three-day festival to take place in May at the new festival grounds of the Rockingham Speedway, which is expected to be bigger than any NASCAR event hosted by the site. Put on by Los Angeles-based Danny Wimmer Presents, the Epicenter Festival will be held May 10 through May 12, 2019, and will replace Carolina Rebellion, which was held annually at the Charlotte Motor Speedway from 2011 to 2018.

    A Rockingham man on Tuesday allegedly rammed a patrol car during a car chase while an infant was in the back seat of his car. A deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on Decario Antawn McKinnon, 29, of Hamer Mill Road for a stop sign violation but McKinnon did not pull over, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
