Over the last two years, David Genecco, a Canandaigua produce wholesaler, steadily has acquired much of that lakeside land, including Polimeni's Restaurant, Scoops ice cream next door and Bella Lago Restaurant and Party House-all on Lakeshore Drive. Richard Brown, Canandaigua director of development and planning, said Genecco is partnering on his development plans with Rochester-based Conifer Realty LLC, which owns the 11-acre commercial Parkway Plaza, encompassed within the 30-acre area zone, capping the northern end of Canandaigua Lake.
