On July 18, Eugene Hutchings, 47, was riding in the back of a taxi and demanded money from the driver who had taken him to Liberty Pole Way around 11:45 p.m. Hutchings then stabbed the driver five times in the face and neck, cutting him across his forehead, nose, above his upper lip, chin and neck.
