    While many questioned the validity of the news that spread like wildfire through social media, experts in the field, including USGS, said a 3.6 magnitude earthquake originated in Amherstburg, Canada and could be felt in Grosse Ile, Trenton, Riverview, and even as far away as Livonia and Sterling Heights. According to USGS, a 3.6 magnitude earthquake on the Modified Mercalli Intensity Scale could mean it is a trimmer that is felt only by a few persons at rest, especially on upper floors of buildings, and could also mean it is felt quite noticeably by persons indoors, especially on upper floors of buildings.

Borger, who served as the library's director for 17 years, died unexpectedly in March at the age of 49. Those who worked with Borger said he touched the lives of many with his cheerful demeanor, kindness and willingness to offer his help.

    Police believe two men working as a team robbed pharmacies in three Downriver cities, one after another, on March 25. The pair are believed to have struck in Riverview, as well, but police there would not comment on the incident, saying if the robbery occurred it would still be under investigation. A report out of Southgate said two black males, both about 6 feet 2 inches in their late teens or early 20s, went inside CVS, 13545 Eureka Road, and headed to the pharmacy area.
