    A Wyoming State Forestry Division supervisor, 62-year-old Ted Drake of Newcastle, became the 50th person to be enshrined at the Wyoming Firefighters Memorial in Riverton on Saturday. "Fire Crew Supervisor Drake, a career employee of Wyoming State Forestry, supervised and trained inmates called "Smoke Busters," well-respected teams utilized to fight wildland fires and complete many other associated projects on both federal and state lands," according to the U.S. Fire Administration's report of his death.

    A 27-year-old Riverton man accused of beating a woman and holding her against her will one night in March entered not guilty pleas this afternoon in Wyoming Ninth's District court in Lander. Justin King told the court that he is not guilty of the charges of Aggravated Assault and Battery, Strangulation of a Household Member, Felonious Restraint, Domestic Battery and Theft.

    The first VFW Post 3628 Family Easter Egg Hunt at Sunset Park in Riverton drew a big crowd today and it only took about 10 minutes for the little kids to scoop up the 250 or so eggs. Included in the total were two special County10.com eggs, picked up by two 5-year-old boys, Brayton Terry and Marcel Majorado.
