    Riverton requested a $1,445,217 Community Readiness grant for the purchase of land located north of Federal Boulevard between Webbwood and Honor Farm roads to be developed for future community growth, which the State Loan and Investment Board approved funding in full yesterday. The Wyoming Business Council grant funding will pay up to 85 percent of a minimum bid to be determined later by the State Board of Land Commissioners if the SBLC approves disposing of this state property at its December 2014 meeting.

    The first hard frost of the season occurred overnight with temperatures in the Wind River Basin dipping to as low at 27 degrees in Lander and 28 in Hudson. The National Weather Service office in Riverton also said the temperature dipped to a chilly 24 degrees at Boulder, 26 at Afton and in Yellowstone National Park as the South Entrance.
