    The Gestalt Theatre Project opens its fifth production at The Box in downtown Riverside's Fox Entertainment Plaza with the regional premiere of “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot,” which runs for two weekends from June 19 through June 28. The 2005 play by Stephen Adly Guirgis premiered at the Public Theatre and was directed by the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. Guirgis received the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for “Between Riverside and Crazy.” “The reactions that I'm getting from some of my colleagues say a lot about this play,” said Patrick Brien, executive director of the Riverside Arts Council who directs the play and is a founding member of The Gestalt Theatre Project.
