    More than 100 visitors ground corn, made butter and saw a meal being cooked on a wood-burning stove during the Harvest Gathering of 1858 event Sunday at the Powers-Walker House in Glacial Park, Route 31 and Harts Road, Ringwood. Volunteer Gail Brown, restoration coordinator for the Powers-Walker House, said she has been helping at the annual gathering since its creation more than 20 years ago.

The event will feature a new 120-foot archaeology timeline rope of the past 12,000 years in McHenry County, with each foot of rope representing 100 years.
