    A 48-year-old Rifle man arrested more than a week ago following the seizure of hundreds of pounds of marijuana at two Garfield County addresses appears to be linked to several other arrests in Mesa County in the last month. Drug Enforcement Administration agents initially began investigating Heung Wong in September 2016, according to an affidavit recently released by the Garfield County Court Clerk's Office.

    A Westminster man who wrote $10 million in bad checks in Rifle will be sentenced in December for those actions as well as defrauding customers of a kitchen contracting business he ran on the Front Range. Herman Hinojosa, 73, pleaded guilty last month to felony theft in the kitchen business case and had been scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 31 in that case.
