Greene County Sheriff's Office investigators, with an assist from the State Highway Patrol and the Pitt County Sheriff's Office, stopped Antoine Gerald Carmon's gray 2015 Chrysler 200 at the intersection of N.C. 123 and Dixon Dead End Road around 10:21 a.m. Carmon, 41, faces felony counts of trafficking heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a place for controlled substances, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and having no operator's license.

Harvey took the New England .223-caliber rifle and .22-caliber revolver from a white Ford pickup truck he stole in Hanover County, Va., and drove to Kinston in July 2013, where he was visiting family in Jackson Heights.
