    A 27-year-old Rialto man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for his conviction in an October 2016 vehicular manslaughter case in San Bernardino. Victim Tan Phung's car became disabled on the 210 Freeway near Waterman Avenue and while inspecting his car he was struck by a car driven by Alex Reider, who fled the scene without stopping to assist, according to a San Bernardino County District Attorney's news release.

    The Port of Los Angeles said Thursday it is reviewing its security protocols after a man driving a stolen SUV - who evaded police at least twice - breached a security gate into the West Basin Shipping Terminal, climbed a gantry crane, and eventually fell or jumped to his death Wednesday night. The man was identified Thursday morning as James Llamas, 23. His city of residence was not known, according Ed Winter, a spokesman with the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
