Victim Tan Phung's car became disabled on the 210 Freeway near Waterman Avenue and while inspecting his car he was struck by a car driven by Alex Reider, who fled the scene without stopping to assist, according to a San Bernardino County District Attorney's news release.

The wet weather may have been a factor in a big rig that was pulling two trailers coming off the eastbound 10 Freeway near Ninth Street near Rialto around 2 a.m. Tuesday, which led the California Highway Patrol and Caltrans to shut down two lanes of the slick freeway. As of 5:15 a.m., crews were still working the crash, and the lanes were still blocked.
