    The Idaho Falls City Council last week unanimously approved a lease agreement for a new restaurant and concession in the Idaho Falls Regional Airport. Tailwind, a Denver and Wilmington, N.C.-based company with concessions in 20 airports around the country, signed a five-year lease for both the pre-security restaurant and bar space downstairs and the post-security concession space upstairs.

    A Rexburg man was arrested last week after a 12-year-old girl reported he raped her during an August camping trip at Palisades Reservoir. The victim told a Bonneville County Sheriff's Office detective during a forensic interview that she was sleeping in a camper when Stetson Tyler Perry, 24, woke up in the night, removed her clothes and raped her.

    Idaho Department of Water Resources officials say they're in the home stretch of an effort to get thousands of irrigation wells that draw from the East Snake Plain Aquifer fitted with flow meters. Department officials estimate about 97 percent of wells in the vast majority of the East Snake Plain Aquifer, excluding the Rexburg Bench area, either have the meters in place or have obtained a special exemption from the requirement.

    They say the crash occurred around 7 a.m. Saturday and 29-year-old Andrew Beatty of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and 31-year-old Alan Knight of Rexburg, Idaho, were declared dead at the scene. State Police say the men were riding in a vehicle on U.S. 62/180 at a high rate of speed before it left the highway and rolled.
