Early in their marriage they lived in Indiana, where Vernon studied architecture, then came back to California, living in Ukiah, Napa, Hayward, San Bruno, Cedarpines Park in the San Bernardino Mountains and La Mirada before moving to Redlands about three years ago to be closer to family.
