    Pornographic images of an underage Redlands High School student, seized from teacher Kevin Kirkland, were never examined by police before prosecutors negotiated a plea deal that allowed him to go free the day he was sentenced for sexually abusing four students, the Southern California News Group has learned. The evidence - 16 images of one of Kirkland's victims and another 169 images of him nude - was extracted from the former teacher's cellphone and computer tablet.

Hoyt was operating a telescopic forklift, going eastbound on a dirt road south of the freeway when the forklift went down an embankment and the worker was ejected from the vehicle.

    Both the victim and the suspect in a cell slaying at Kern Valley State Prison are from San Bernardino County, authorities said Monday. A correctional officer making a security check at 9 p.m. Sunday found Eric Moreno, 30, an inmate since May 2015 at the prison in Delano, unresponsive in his cell, a news release said.

    In early September, a Redlands woman discovered videotapes, allegedly shot by her husband, Steven Gregory Scholl, 47. The video of her and another adult family member was shot without either woman's knowledge as the women undressed and showered, according to a press release issued by Redlands city spokesman Carl Baker. Investigator Cindy Gourlay said Scholl's secret tape amounted to a misdemeanor, but also left questions in the minds of police of what else Scholl was up to.
