Uvaggio, as the tasting center will be called, is an Italian term that means “the blending of wine grapes.” It will be taking up residence at 705 Main St., in what was once The Daily Democrat's reception and advertising section.

    REDDING >> Officials plan to more than triple the number of endangered winter-run Chinook salmon released into the Sacramento River following a massive die-off last year. The Redding Record-Searchlight reports that in February the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service plans to release about 600,000 winter-run Chinook into the water below the Keswick Dam on the Sacramento River.
