    Red Bluff >> The City Council denied a request Tuesday for a conditional use permit to establish and operate a proposed, and previously approved, Restpadd Psychiatric Health Facility at 925 Walnut St. The council continued the matter to another meeting, which has not yet been set, to discuss the recommendations and work out issues brought to the city staff by the residents and the council. On Dec. 22, 2015 the Planning Commission approved a resolution permitting the building as a health facility, but on Jan. 4 the approval was appealed by a local business owner and brought to the council Tuesday for discussion and a public hearing.

The 1942 Ford GPA amphibious jeep was produced in Detroit but found its way to Red Bluff before eventually ending up in England, according to owner Mike Higgins, who plans to restore the vehicle and is seeking information about and photographs of its time in Red Bluff.
