    On Saturday evening, the Tehama County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a boating accident with several injuries on the west bank of the Sacramento River in the area of E's Locker Room and Lakeside in Red Bluff. According to reports, David Pieper, 64, of Red Bluff was traveling down river at about 7:00 p.m. and was approaching the Interstate 5 Bridge, north of Antelope Boulevard, when his boat crossed a large wake causing him to lose control of the boat.

Anthony Nahinu, 18, of Red Bluff has been named as a suspect in the shooting after deputies said they found a gun in some bushes about a half mile from where the shooting had occurred.

According to the Butte County Sheriff's Office, Shepherd's remains were found along the west bank of the Sacramento River across from Scotty's Landing, and were identified through DNA testing.

    The body of a man reported missing, after last being seen swimming in the Sacramento River near the Antelope Boulevard Bridge in Red Bluff, was found Monday afternoon. According to the Tehama County Sheriff's Office, at about 1:30 p.m., a citizen walking on the Antelope Bridge over the Sacramento River saw what they thought was a body in the water near the west bank and called the Red Bluff Police Department.
