    A Red Bluff woman Wednesday was sentenced to prison for her role in a Christmas Eve shooting in Chico that left another woman wounded. Butte County Superior Court Judge Kimberly Merrifield sentenced Alexanne Danis, 19, to seven years in state prison in connection with the December 2017 shooting, according to court documents.

    A husband and wife were found dead in their apartment Tuesday by police officers in what is suspected to be a murder-suicide. A press release issued Wednesday by the Red Bluff Police Department said officers responded for a welfare check at about 5:12 p.m. Tuesday on Scottsdale Way after a report the two had not been seen for some time and there was possibly a history of domestic violence at the residence.

    A man was arrested after he was allegedly found using a blowtorch on a propane tank at a Los Molinos church Saturday morning. Tehama County sheriff's deputies were called at 5:15 a.m. Saturday to the Los Molinos Methodist Church on Josephine Street, where they found Mark Boles, 51, using the torch on a 250-gallon propane tank, according to a press release.
