    One happened at Hunters Crossing off Route 202 in Readington Township just after 7 p.m. The second, at a Hawthorne Court condominium unit in Raritan Township, was reported just after 9:30 p.m. An end unit was destroyed in the Raritan Township fire, and an adjacent unit was heavily damaged, according to those at the scene. Firefighters were still there past 1 a.m. Friday, and returned at 7 a.m. when the fire rekindled in the basement.

At Whitehouse Elementary School, students sampled a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich and thought it would be a popular item to include on the menu.
