    The sale of Pottstown Memorial Medical Center to the Reading Health System, announced at the end of May , has rekindled outside health care competitors' interests in adding a hospital-like facility to proposed construction of the Sanatoga Green residential and commercial complex on the west side of Evergreen Road, its developers have told the Lower Pottsgrove Board of Commissioners. Plans by Castle Caldecott LLC, the development company that has worked for more than three years to launch Sanatoga Green, included what was originally proposed as a multi-story medical office building and a nearby hotel.

    A Lower Pottsgrove resident who is pursuing a college degree in criminal justice has begun conducting research with the township Police Department on the feasibility of using unmanned, radio-controlled flying drones for future law enforcement work, Chief Michael Foltz has told the Board of Commissioners. Jaimee Tyson, a student attending a Crime And Justice Seminar as part of an accelerated degree program at Albright College in Reading PA, is required to conduct research for a law enforcement agency, Foltz explained to commissioners in his monthly report of department activities.

High St., Stowe, or in Reading, should still be there waiting for their owners whenever the stores are open, the Pennsylvania State Police said Thursday on its Facebook page . Since highly publicized Wednesday raids at the two pawn shops, after they searched for and confiscated allegedly stolen goods there, troopers apparently have been plagued by calls from owners of everything from large-screen TVs to lucky horseshoes who earlier left them and other valuables as collateral for loans received.

High St. in Stowe, and a second located just outside Reading, in search of what troopers said they believed were potentially stolen retail goods. The shops' owner, Nicholas Blanck, was arrested on several charges related to the probe, WFMZ-TV reported.
