    At the Massachusetts Division 3 Wrestling State Tournament last weekend, Somerset Berkley Regional High School's Jake Faria finished in fifth place in the 160 pound weight class, qualifying him to move on to the All-State Meet this weekend in North Reading. Faria won his first two matches by pins in the two-day tournament which took place last Friday and Saturday in Wakefield.

    House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones, Jr. has appointed Representative Keiko M. Orrall as his designee on a special commission that will investigate pay disparity in Massachusetts. Created as part of the historic pay equity bill that was signed into law on August 1, the special commission will study the factors, causes and impact of pay disparity based on race, color, religious creed, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, genetic information, ancestry, disability and military service.  The commission will report back to the Legislature with its findings by January 1, 2019.

Jones, Jr. congratulated State Representatives Keiko Orrall and Susan Williams Gifford for maintaining perfect voting records throughout the 2015-2016 legislative session. The legislators participated in all 559 roll call votes cast in the House of Representatives between January of 2015 and July of 2016, achieving a 100 percent voting record.
