Restaurant manager Danielle "Dani" Boyd of the Oro Grande eatery told the Daily Press a driver spotted a white Volkswagen bus with cow-pattern interior heading south on Interstate 15 around noon on Monday. "The lady that called told my boss the idiots painted the yellow bus white but didn't bother to change the interior cow print," Boyd said.

    Authorities on Tuesday released more details about how the stolen Cross Eyed Cow Pizza VW bus was located and eventually recovered Monday , including the identity of the driver seen in the bus on Interstate 15. Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff's station Deputy Jake Bailey said Kenneth Jessie Callaway, 33, of Barstow, was arrested on suspicion of receiving known stolen property after he was positively identified as the driver of the VW bus, which was spotted by Lacey Smith headed south on I-15 near Rancho Cucamonga on Monday afternoon. The 1975 yellow and white VW bus, with checkered luggage, a cooler and a surfboard on the luggage rack atop the bus, was the eatery's mascot.
