    The Department of Public Health has given the go-ahead for Steward Health Care Systems to close Quincy Medical Center, Steward said in a statement Tuesday. The hospital will close on Dec. 26 at 11:59 p.m. The emergency room lights will stay on, as it will serve as a satellite ER for Carney Hospital in Dorchester, also owned by Steward.
