    I have to agree with the June 8-14 Sound Off "Properties in Pyrites," as the properties there are deplorable! Driving through there it looks like life after people, night of the living dead, the land that time forgot. Seriously people, do you really need to keep your property like that? You could film a horror movie there based on a simple drive through.

    I live in Pyrites and all anyone has to do is go through this small town and see the run down properties. Cars and trucks with no license plates on them lined up in yards, garbage strewn about and lawns grown beyond the limits of codes.

    Canton native David Dafoe, founder and chief operating officer of 8th Street Ventures, was recently named Kentucky's Small Business Person of the Year by the US Small Business Administration.
