    Operations at this hamlet's post office branch went into an emergency suspension Thursday as U.S. Postal Service officials were unable to renew the lease on the space they used at 169 County Route 21. Postal officials, in a news release, said that customer addresses will not change for the approximately 25 St. Lawrence County customers served by the office's centralized mailbox. In the meantime, the Canton Post Office will hold items that are either oversized or require customer signatures.
