    Troopers said 63-year-old Thomas Mykins of Port Charlotte was killed after he changed lanes to allow another driver to pass near mile marker 174 in North Port at 4:45 a.m.  After the car had passed, Mykins switched back into his original lane, but clipped another vehicle in doing so, according to troopers. The car Mykins hit slammed into a guardrail, and Mykins car spun out before stopping in the center lane.
