Prior Lake resident Tom Mansk believes he saw what appeared to be a large cat at Highway 13 and Highway 169 in Savage when he was heading to work around 10:40 p.m. the evening of Saturday, June 30. Mansk said the animal - which he suspected to be a cougar - appeared about six feet from his vehicle as he was slowing down to make a turn. He said he saw the face first.
