    A newer model red Jeep Cherokee struck a 68-year-old woman in the parking lot of a local bank in Prescott Valley near the 7100 Block of East Pav Way on Thursday, June 25 at 12:18 p.m. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center and has since been released. The suspect was described as a white female in her early 20s with maroon-dyed hair.

Farnsworth, currently YC's Dean of Sciences, Health and Public Safety, will take on the interim position July 20. The VP position is responsible for Yavapai College's numerous degree and certificate programs and also oversees the College Library, Instructional Support & Improvement, Student Development, and Teaching & eLearning Support .

    Sue Tone Special to the Courier The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office released information yesterday that the Medical Examiner has made a preliminary finding of a drug overdose and apparent drowning as the cause of death for Prescott Valley resident Jennifer Holgate, 23. There is no evidence otherwise of foul play, but the investigation remains open, said Dwight D'Evelyn, YCSO media coordinator in a press release yesterday evening. Holgate's body was found in a Cottonwood irrigation canal this past Thursday, June 11, two days after her release from the Camp Verde Detention Center.
