    The Kitsap County Board of County Commissioners will resume deliberations Monday on an ordinance amending Chapter 10.48 of the Kitsap County Code, creating the authority for Commissioners to adopt a resolution limiting the sale and use of fireworks during periods of drought or other emergencies. Deliberations for the new ordinance will take place during the next regular business meeting at 5:30 p.m. May 23 in the Kitsap County Administration Building, 619 Division Street, Port Orchard.

"It is a very exciting time but very early in the process," said Wes Larson, one of the principal partners of the Sound West Group.

    A Bremerton man was taken to Harrison Medical Center with injuries after his pickup truck left the roadway and crashed into a guardrail at Bond and Big Valley roads at about 9:19 p.m. March 22. Washington State Patrol reported that Benjamin A. Harp, 26, was driving a Ford Ranger pickup southbound on State Route 307/Bond Road when it left the roadway to the right at Big Valley Road, struck a guardrail, and came to rest in the ditch.
