    A 21-year-old Dutchess County woman wanted for a probation violation in Georgia is facing eight more felonies after being busted with several counterfeit credit card and driver's licenses during a stop on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls on Monday afternoon, state police said. New York State Police troopers stopped Poughkeepsie resident Jayana Stalley at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Monday, March 19, after she committed a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 9. While interviewing Stalley, troopers discovered that she was wanted by the Chatham County Sheriff's Office in Georgia for a probation violation regarding a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

    The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department released information on Monday on the two-car crash that led to the closure of a stretch of Route 9 in the area of Sharon Drive on Sunday. Preliminary investigation reveals that, at around 5:37 p.m., a 2006 Dodge Durango, operated by a 42-year-old man from the City of Poughkeepsie, traveling northbound on Route 9, struck a center guard rail/median causing the vehicle to overturn and subsequently struck a 2002 Kia Sedona, operated by a 62-year-old female from the City of Poughkeepsie, also traveling north on Route 9. Both operators were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
