    H&K Group Inc. , the Skippack PA-based company that owns and operates the Pottstown Trap-Rock Quarry at South Sanatoga and Linfield roads, has applied to the state Department of Environmental Protection for two permits allowing the temporary installation of a portable crushing plant at the Lower Pottsgrove quarry site, according to a letter received by the township "The portable crushing plant will be used to process existing on-site aggregate," the company's May 11 letter reported. Notifying the township of H&K's intent is a requirement of the department's Bureau of Air Quality , which issues the permits.

The board was scheduled to hold its regular second meeting of June tonight at 7 p.m. in the township municipal building, 2199 Buchert Rd. But it earlier rescheduled its first meeting from June 6 to June 9 and since then, Manager Ed Wagner concedes, not much has happened or, at least, too little of note to plan for a board meeting.
