    Although Solicitor Paul Bauer had said he hoped its members could reach a decision Monday night , the Lower Pottsgrove Zoning Hearing Board deferred until March 17 any conclusion on the fate of an application by GEG Investments of Gilbertsville for relief to build storage units on North Charlotte Street property between Orlando and Maugers Mill roads in the township. The board heard about 2-1/2 hours of witness testimony and cross-examinations , and privately deliberated for another hour before returning to say they would meet again next month with all parties involved.

    Ronald Coleman, a Lower Pottsgrove resident, was arrested on narcotics-related charges Friday at about 12:40 p.m. in the Days Inn Hotel on Industrial Highway, after Lower Pottsgrove police claimed they found him in a room there with a bag of rock cocaine and a large quantity of money bound into separate bundles by rubber bands. Police reported they had been dispatched to the hotel to investigate possible narcotics activity, and conducted an investigation and interviews there.

    A 5-foot-wide drainage culvert that carries a small stream beneath North Pleasant View Road near its intersection with Heather Lane in Lower Pottsgrove has severely deteriorated and will be replaced by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the agency has notified the township Board of Commissioners. A date hasn't yet been set, Manager Ed Wagner told commissioners, but the replacement is likely to begin sometime in the spring.
