    Oral “Nick” Hillary's defense team is calling into question the reliability of methods used by prosecutors to obtain DNA results to connect him to the 2011 murder of 12-year-old Garrett J. Phillips. In a 47-page motion filed with presiding Judge Felix J. Catena Wednesday, New York City defense attorney Earl Ward said he wants a hearing that will call into question a technique used in testing DNA that could implicate Hillary in the death of the boy.

Sara B. Cutler, 28, of Norwood, and Brian S. Fontaine, 47, of 55 Victory Road were found by police about 6:10 a.m. at Mr. Fontaine's apartment following a 911 call.

    A Christian church that emphasizes worship through vibrant music, fellowship and biblical preaching has expanded into Canton led by a 30-year-old pastor who felt a spiritual calling toward ministry. Jamie L. Sinclair of Potsdam is serving as site pastor for services offered by Christian Fellowship Center, which started in Canton on May 1. The services are held at 10 a.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church building, 52 Court St. Prior to service, there is prayer at 9:15 a.m. followed by open fellowship from 9:30 to 10 a.m. “For many years we've had services in Madrid and Potsdam,” said Mr. Sinclair.
