The anger and frustration of Portland residents regarding toxic air emanating from local glass companies have reached the ears of legislators in Salem, who have already landed on a possible solution: replacing the Department of Environmental Quality with Dairy Queen . The Portland Office of Management and Finance this week followed up with the Mercury about a recent inquiry into possible Airbnb misuse at four single-family homes, including flouting rules around purchasing permits, paying transient taxes, and the amount of time a home can be offered as an Airbnb. The follow up is in response to this story, published a few weeks ago, about Kurt Morris and his family, who sold their Sellwood/Moreland home to a family under the premise that the four-bedroom home would be well loved, and, well, actually lived in by the new owners, Ryan and Kristina Brown, and their young daughter. Watch out Southeast Portland shopkeepers: Police are looking for a man who's accused of jerking off in front of female store employees. The Portland Police Bureau today issued a news release reporting that on Friday, Nov. 6, an "African American male in his late-teens or early-20s, 5'10" tall and a skinny 130 pounds" entered a business at SE 17th Ave and Hawthorne Boulevard and asked a female employee for help.
