The town appointed Justice Jim Craig to fill the seat of Town Justice Oct. 2 through Dec. 31, 2015 to satisfy the vacancy that will be left by current justice Robert Myers, who is slated to retire on Oct. 1. Upon learning of Myers' retirement, the council discussed how to go about filling the vacancy and sought advice from the judicial court authority, as well as the NYS Association of Towns.
