    Portage's proposed medical marijuana ordinances that would license facilities and set zoning standards got a first look Tuesday, prompting a few questions but no significant objections. The Portage City Council committee of the whole meeting attended by more than 40 people introduced a 22-page draft ordinance regulating five types of medical marijuana facilities and an 11-page zoning ordinance proposal.

The Portage school board Monday extended his contract for another year, from June 30, 2019 to June 30, 2020, and increased his tax-sheltered annuity from $32,410 to $38,650 based on a 3.2 percent increase of his $195,000 base salary.

Portage Dispatch received multiple calls about the initial crash and were told when they arrived at the C Station on Centre Avenue that the teenaged driver had taken off, running down Angling Road.
