    Union Bank has announced that it is closing its Kitsap and North Olympic Peninsula branches as part of a move to shut 20 locations in the state. The bank will close its Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Sequim and Poulsbo branches Feb. 20, followed on Feb. 27 by closures of branches in Bremerton, Silverdale and Gig Harbor, according to Union Bank spokesman Alan Gulick.

Richards, 44, was driving a red 1997 Chevrolet Blazer westbound on state Highway 20 near Eaglemount Road, about 7.5 miles south of Port Townsend, according to a State Patrol report.

According to a news release, East Jefferson Fire-Rescue responded at roughly 11:15 a.m. to the accident at the intersection of state Highway 19 and Woodland Drive south of Port Townsend and found both vehicles partially blocking the northbound lane of the highway.
