Someone stole an iPhone from a vehicle outside of a residence along Pruner Street, Osceola Mills sometime Thursday and Friday between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police.

    Monday at 11:27 a.m. Joseph Packer, 37, of Port Matilda was driving a 1999 Ford south on Fowler Hollow Lane when he lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a left curve, hit a tree, spun around and struck a second tree before rolling over. Packer and passenger Holly Packer, 37, of Port Matilda suffered suspected minor injuries but were not transported for treatment.

    A 67-year-old State College man was arrested for DUI in April 1 at 2:20 a.m. in the 1500-block of the Port Matilda Highway, Philipsburg, Centre County. The State Police fire marshal and the Sandy Township Fire Department investigated a structure fire at an abandoned mobile home Tuesday at 11:50 p.m. and determined the fire is incendiary in nature.

    Tuesday at 6:17 a.m. Joseph Thompson, 59, of Morrisdale, was backing a Mack Truck onto US-322 from Hilltop Road. Francisco Ortiz, 47, of Laredo, Texas was driving a 2007 Volvo on US-322 and saw the truck backing up and stopped, but Thompson continued and backed into the front of the Volvo.
