A vehicle traveling near the intersection of Goliad and Pettus streets was stopped and the officer noted one of the vehicle's occupants had a warrant for his arrest.

    Sometime in 2020 - thanks to sheets of mild steel and a hot forge here - the Escondido Creek Project in Kenedy will acquire a one-ton, $30,000 sculpture of a horned toad. The sculpture is being designed by the Goliad Forge, a local blacksmith organization based at the blacksmith shop of Otto Bluntzer.
